Qualified Accountant

PSC Accountants & Advisors requires a full-time qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience in an accountancy practice to join their accountancy team in our Tralee office.

This is an opportunity for an accountant who has initiative and drive and wants to be part of a progressive firm.

  • Qualification in CPA/ACA/ACCA + 3 years post qualification experience.
  • Excellent Technical knowledge in the area of Audit and Irish GAAP.
  • Excellent knowledge in the preparation of the following:
    • Financial Statements
    • Taxation, including Income Tax and Corporation Tax
    • Company Secretarial Returns
  • The ability to work on their own initiative.
  • The ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, to include knowledge of online accounting packages, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to work towards individual and department targets and deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to the overall team spirit in the office.

The Role

  • Complete tasks that are assigned to you in a professional and competent manner in the time allocated.
  • Preparation and audit (where applicable) of financial statements and tax computations for our broad client base
  • Ensuring the clients assigned to you are compliant with Revenue and where applicable company law.
  • Assisting with the filing of the company’s annual return.
  • Training and supervision of trainee’s in the team.


This will be based on the experience and expertise of the successful candidate and it will include professional subscription, CPD allowance and continuous training and support to allow you to grow within your role.

Co-op program

PSC has joined  the Co-op program with University of Limerick , University College Cork and the Institute of Technology Tralee.

Our Co-op program which commenced in January 2017 is full. For 2018  please liaise with your co-op coordinator should you wish to join our program.

PSC promises to deliver you a step by step program to ensure that you get an excellent grounding in the area of accounting. Upon finishing the program there is the opportunity to join the graduate program after successful completion of your degree.
